International students in the UK can work up to 20 hours maximum per week during term-time and full-time during holiday breaks. However, there are a few restrictions and conditions you need to follow to be able to work.
International undergraduate diploma students can take a GAP year in the UK. You will need to check with your Visa application and UK immigration if any issues are taking a GAP year during your studies.
If you have a Tier 4 student visa, you cannot interrupt your studies and take a work placement or internship. You will need to look for alternative immigration permission to allow you to undertake work in the UK.
International students can apply for apprenticeship in the UK as long as it doesn’t exceed the allowed time work in the terms and conditions of their visas.
